Jody and Cindy are back from the annual International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association’s conference in Daytona, FL.
It’s our favorite conference of the year, and not just because of the beach! Because we are an IMDHA school, it’s a great time to connect with other teachers in the field and share information. It’s great to come back with new insights and information. If you are a practicing hypnotist and haven’t attended a conference, I highly recommend it because it really opens your eyes to realize that there are many different philosophies of hypnosis, how to practice, and techniques to build into your tool kit. Every time I attend a conference I come back feeling a renewed zeal for the practice and the field of hypnosis.
This year, Jody Kimmell taught a two-hour class on working with clients with autism, and I (Cindy Locher) did a two hour talk on hypnosis and complementary approaches to improve sleep and how quality of sleep affects other presenting issues such as anxiety, depression and weight management.
Here are a couple pics of Jody presenting and a beautiful one of the beach I was happy to capture! No pics of me….I can’t do selfies and teach!
