Attendance Policy

Because the nature of the material is highly experiential, regular and full attendance is very important.  Should a student miss 8 hours of class or fewer, they may make up the work by a combination of renting video tapes of the class and private tutorial with the instructor(s).  Absence of greater than 8 hours of class will require the student be dropped from the current class and either re-enrolled at a future date (with no cost penalty to the student), or be dropped from the current class and reimbursed the pro-rata portion of their tuition applicable per the refund policy.  Students should make every effort to avoid tardiness and unsatisfactory attendance; individual issues will be dealt with on a case by case basis.

Enrollment Dates

Enrollment consists of a completed and accepted application and receipt of full payment for the class prior to the first day of class.  Applications should be submitted a full month prior to the first class date, but a minimum of two weeks prior to the first class date.

Enrollment dates for 2015

Enrollment dates will be determined by Class Dates.

Applicant interview process:  the applicant interview will take place in person whenever practicable.  When the interview cannot take place in person due to time or distance constraints, the interview will take place over the phone.  The applicant will be interviewed by Cindy Locher, BCH, Academy Director, and Jody Kimmell, CHt, Instructor (“the Interview Committee”). The interview will focus on the applicant’s previous experience and education, motivations for pursuing the Academy’s program, ethics, and appropriate personality traits and character for doing the work of Hypnotherapy.  Applicants may be rejected for any reason deemed by the Interview Committee; reasons will be shared with applicants upon request.

Complaint Procedure

The Academy is committed to providing to all its users high quality services which will be managed efficiently and which will be publicized with clarity and precision. We strive to deal with all users in a manner which is fair, efficient and courteous.

However, there will be rare occasions where a student feels that her/his expectations have not been met. In these circumstances you are entitled to give feedback or make a complaint about the service in question. The below procedure outlines how to go about doing this.

If you are a student and wish to provide feedback or make a complaint relating to the teaching and learning process, please follow these simple steps:

  1. Firstly you should contact the member of staff whose actions have caused the issue to occur. You may talk to your Instructor for advice.

2. If, having followed step 1, you have not received a response to your satisfaction, or you are uncomfortable with approaching the appropriate contact directly/you feel it would be inappropriate to contact them about the matter, you may contact the Administrative Director, Cindy Locher.

If after contacting the Administrative Director you remain dissatisfied with the outcome of consideration of your complaint, you may contact the Minnesota State Office of Higher Education.
